ALTERNATIVA is a political organization that ideologically positions itself as a center-right entity. Its identity is defined by three notions: AUTHENTIC – it is an atypical entity, having built its profile according to the needs of Albanians in North Macedonia; AUTOCHTHONAL – it was created by local Albanian capacities in North Macedonia; and AUTONOMOUS – it is an independent entity, free from internal or external influence, although open to communication and cooperation. ALTERNATIVA was established to preserve and nurture the culture, tradition, and values of Albanians, while also contributing to the creation and development of a VIRTUOUS SOCIETY in the Republic of North Macedonia. ALTERNATIVA aims to establish itself on the political scene through general and local elections and, in line with the trust it receives from voters, to respect and promote the values of freedom, equality, and justice in our country. It seeks to promote, in the interest of all citizens, and especially the Albanians of North Macedonia, freedom of thought, the dignity of the individual, their fundamental rights and obligations, respect for equal opportunities, and a free and competitive market as a tool for the rapid and sustainable development of the country, the rule of law, the security of the individual and property, individual responsibility, the empowerment of the family, social justice, and social dialogue. ALTERNATIVA is committed to the integration of North Macedonia into European and Euro-Atlantic organizations and to positively projecting the country’s image worldwide. ALTERNATIVA unites all citizens who adhere to these aspirations and objectives. ALTERNATIVA guarantees the free expression of political sensitivities that comprise it. It is based on gender parity in party activities and electoral and executive participation.
